The lights aren't turning on! What do I do!?
is the ETC Software running on the computer?
In the ETC shell does the top button say "Primary" or "Offline"?
Are the "Data" & "Signal Present" LEDS on the orange lighting device (on the ledge) on and blinking
NO
YES
PRIMARY
OFFLINE
NO
What do those lights on the orange lighting device on the tech table ledge mean?
YES
Restart the MAC Mini. You will have to restart all of the apps that were running including the ETC Software for the lighting
Starting up the ETC EOS Lighting Software
The icon for the lighting software looks like this When you click on this icon you will then see something like this...
Note the box with "Primary" in it. This means the system should be working. If you see "Offline" or "Offline w/ Viz" that means the system is not connected and probably one of the reasons why the lighting system is not working.
If the first box says "Primary", click it. (If not follow the rest of the troubleshooting guide). You will see something like this...
If you don't see something like this, click on the tab (in the yellow box) labeled "Live MS 1".
How to get to the ETC shell
To get to the ETC shell, you need to be here...
If you do not see this, then click on the triangle (in the yellow box). Next double click on "Exit" (in the blue box) and you will see this...
Click on OK, because yes, you REALLY want to quit.
Then you want to click on "Settings"
Then you want to click on "Settings" and then (on the right side of the dialog box) "Network", and you'll see something like this...
The important thing to confirm here is the IP Address. This number needs to match the IP Address for the computer. You can find this information here (On the FCC Tech Mac) page. Note that the example here and on the "Mac" page match. Click "Accept" to return to the ETC Shell, then "Primary" (if that button exists) to return to the console.
Wireless DMX Device (on the ledge in front of the Projections Computer)
Transmit / Recieve
Data Present
Signal Strength
There are still seven indicator lights on the front of the SHoW Baby, four for signal strength, one to designate whether it is a Transmitter, one to designate whether it is a Receiver, and a Data present light.
The important lights to have are 'Data Present' and if there is a signal. If they are not present, power cycle the device.
